Leighton K. Berridge is a civil litigation attorney whose practice focuses on premises liability, insurance defense, commercial litigation, and the defense of personal injury claims. He is licensed in Texas and Iowa and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

 

Leighton earned his J.D., with Highest Service Honors, from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2023 and his B.A. in Government, with a minor in Business, from the University of Texas at Austin in 2019. During law school, he received an Outstanding Performance Award in the Roy L. Stephenson Trial Advocacy Competition and held editorial positions with the Texas Review of Law & Politics, the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, and the Journal of Corporation Law.

 

Before entering private practice, Leighton served as a judicial law clerk for Minnesota’s Sixth Judicial District, where he gained valuable insight into judicial decision-making and court procedure.
